I love Adele's writing and have read all this series so far! I hope there will be many more. Her writing style is fresh and humorous and also in depth. While not necessarily "good literature", these books are a delightful read. They may get a bit tiresome after reading book after book but give yourself a rest and they are fun to return to.
Another funny and wonderful book by Adele Abbott.
This series just keeps getting better. Always a grand adventure that's comical and never boting. Wow what an ending! Super sleuth Jill!
Laughter, intrigue, spreading herself too thin, a cat who is magical and troublesome all wrapped into one ! Don't make us wait long for more . I can't wait for Jill to make it permanent with Jack
Fluffy, light hearted reading. A welcome break from reality. While I wish Jill was actually changing (becoming less selfish), it is still amusing to read her antics in avoiding physical labor.
Nothing much happens. Yes, small mysteries are solved, but the secondary characters are given short shrift. Relationships do not advance to a satisfactory extent, and I wondered why...ah well, there are custard creams.
This is definitely the best of the series so far. The stories are now more full with Jill working more than one case and her character is filling out as well. The story is still oddly comedic, but there is enough continuing backstory to hold attention from book to book.
